So, as promised, last night my husband and I made a foray into Second Life. Steve is "Steve Primrose" and I am "Lydia Isabella" (my middle name's Isabelle so that's as close as I could get to complete transprency with Second Life's current set up).
I had made a comment at the Delivering the New PR conference that where ever the customers, clients & consumers are that's where we have to be as business people, PR people or headhunters like Steve & I.
Well, fascinatingly Steve bumped into someone, who after having found out that he was a headhunter within PR mentioned that he had a friend who was looking to move from their current role to something new. So the business world is alive in Second Life.
Our little 7 yr old girl Naomi made a relevant and very thought provoking comment this morning, I am quoting "we could have a room with all the computers in at home, and play games with each other, and talk to our friends, we wouldn't need the TV"
Do you remember the statistics that were being quoted at the conference regarding the drop in TV viewing by 15-24 yr olds? Maybe those coming up underneath that generation wouldn't even consider TV as part of their lives.
See you around in Second Life!
